FAIRWAY GOLF SUNGLASSES

New for 2011, Fairway are the latest addition to our ever popular Scratch Golf sub range of products. As with other products in the range, Fairway makes use of a specially developed green mirror tinted lens to achieve the ultimate definition between the different elements of ground, sky, ball and flag in your vision, thereby vastly improving your ability to judge distances, and read the terrain.

The Frames

Made from an ultra-tough TR90 material, Fairway's frame is a brand new and highly fashionable design, finished in matt black with orange trim. it has an adjustable rubber nose pad assembly, and rubber side-arm extensions, both designed to make wearing the glasses for prolonged periods more comfortable. Levels of comfort are also enhanced by the extremely lightweight nature of the frame, plus a slight flex that allows the sunglasses to make a snug fit, whatever size or shape of head you have.

 

The Lenses

Fairway are bundled with three sets of lenses as standard, and they are as follows:

• Category 0 amber, light-enhancing, for dull conditions

• Category 2 beige polarised, for fairly bright or changeable conditions. Polarised filter removes glare from your vision.

• Category 3 green mirror, for bright / sunny days. Blue light is filtered out to greatly improve definition in your field of view. Mirror finish adds an anti-glare capability.

All lenses are anti-scratch coated, and offer 100% UVA / UVB protection. Cut-outs allow ventilation in the eyebrow area, thus greatly reducing the chances of sweat patches forming on the inside of the lenses. The lenses are also decentred, which means they are calibrated to negate the possible distorting effects caused by placing a curved lens in front of your face.

 

The Package

A comprehensive accessory package is provided as standard with Fairway, giving you everything you could possibly need out on the course. Firstly, there is the 'hard' carry case, which contains internal pouches for the spare lenses, plus a belt-fixing catch and loops; secondly, a head securing / neck strap is provided, allowing for secure attachment if you're worried about the glasses falling off when playing a shot; thirdly, you receive a lint-free cleaning cloth.

 

Conformity

As with all Rapid Eyewear products, Fairway conform to En1836 regulations for safety eyewear and, as such, they offer 100% UVA / UVB protection. Our sunglasses also conform the US Z80.3, which means that a sample of each batch is subjected to a drop-test in the factory, to ensure strength.
